Overview
The ACLS Instructor Course is a course that consists of didactic sessions and skills practice. The didactic sessions cover the material in the ACLS Instructor Manual and the ACLS Student Manual. The skills practice includes all of the skills from the ACLS Provider Course, plus the skills needed to teach the ACLS course.
After successfully completing the ACLS Instructor Course, participants will be able to:
- Demonstrate an understanding of the educational design process
- Apply adult learning principles
- Prepare and deliver effective ACLS lectures
- Prepare and deliver effective ACLS skills stations
- Evaluate ACLS students
- Provide feedback to ACLS students
- Manage an ACLS course
- Monitor and improve their own teaching performance
