Overview
The "Basic Life Support (BLS) Renewal" course offered by the American Heart Association is a comprehensive refresher course for those who have previously completed a BLS certification. The course covers all of the basic information from the original certification, including CPR techniques, defibrillation, and use of an AED. The course also covers more advanced topics such as airway management and use of opioids in CPR. The course is taught by experienced instructors who are certified by the American Heart Association.
