Overview
The course "Basic Life Support (BLS) Skills Session" is a course offered by the American Heart Association that teaches the skills necessary to perform CPR and other life-saving techniques. The course is designed for those who are not healthcare providers, but who may be required to perform CPR or other life-saving techniques in an emergency situation. The course covers the basic steps of CPR, how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED), and how to relieve choking. The course is approximately four hours long and includes a skills test at the end.
