Overview
The American Heart Association's Heartsaver Instructor course is designed to train instructors to teach the Heartsaver courses, which are CPR, AED, and first aid courses for the lay responder. The Instructor course is a two-day course that covers the didactic and skills portions of the Heartsaver curriculum, as well as the Instructor Course Exam. The course is open to anyone with a healthcare provider-level CPR certification, and successful completion of the course results in certification as a Heartsaver Instructor.
