Overview
The American Heart Association's Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Instructor Course is a two-day course that trains instructors to teach the PALS course to healthcare providers. The PALS course is a skills-based course that teaches providers how to recognize and treat infants and children who are experiencing cardiac or respiratory distress. The PALS Instructor Course is designed for instructors who have experience teaching CPR and have a strong knowledge of the PALS algorithm. The course covers topics such as how to teach the PALS course, how to use the PALS manikins, and how to assess students' knowledge.
